Mokugyo Privacy Policy
Mokugyo does not collect, store, or share any personal information. It has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking, and it never connects to the internet.
This policy explains how Mokugyo, the meditation app for iPhone and Apple Watch, handles information. It applies to both the iPhone app and the Apple Watch app.
Information we collect
None. Mokugyo does not collect any information about you or how you use the app, and nothing is sent to us or to anyone else. The app contains no third-party code, such as analytics, crash reporting, or advertising frameworks.
Apple Health
With your permission, Mokugyo saves each meditation session to Apple Health as Mindful Minutes: the time the session started and the time it ended. This is the only information it writes.
- Mokugyo only writes to Health. It does not read any of your Health data.
- The sessions are stored by Apple Health on your device, and are covered by Apple’s privacy policy. If you use iCloud, Apple may sync your Health data between your devices, according to your own iCloud settings.
- Your Health data is never used for advertising or marketing, and is never shared with anyone.
- Mokugyo asks for permission once, when you first open it. You can change your choice at any time in the Settings app under Health, or in the Health app. Mokugyo works the same without it; it simply stops saving sessions.
Information stored on your device
Mokugyo remembers the choices you make in its Preferences — the length of a sitting, and the pace and text size of the sutra — so they are ready the next time you open the app. These settings are kept only on your device and are deleted when you delete the app.
Children
Mokugyo does not collect information from anyone, including children.
